Basin City Elementary's Library Literacy and Technology Learning Expectations K-6
Technology is an important instructional tool in enabling students to reach the Benchmarks / Standards required by Washington State’s Academic Learning Requirements, and Washington State’s Library Information and Technology Standards. The following information outlines six categories of learning expectations that are essential skills to prepare students for life-long learning, informed decision-making and a love of reading. In 6th Grade, student are continue to enhance their keyboarding skills with use of “home row” keys and proper finger positioning. Studetns are able to locate, save and retrieve documents. They are introduced and reinforced in the importance of citing sources and how to do online research for projects
